Regardless, the first season of Pokémon was as fun of a watch as it was watching it as a kid all those years ago. This also applies to the first movie and the episodes that never aired in the west (which were some of my favs).

On to season two and the first anime exclusive region, Orange Islands!

Then in the next episode, they have the nerve to tell Ash that he should have trained Charizard properly, and I am not even sure what that even means...

It feels like since Ash's journey was to continue past Kanto, they had minimized his growth in the region, and I don't care for it.

He and Ash pretty much went through the same places, so how the hell did he have ten badges before Viridian? He didn't even complete the Cinnabar Island gym...

Charmeleon/Charizard not obeying Ash is wild...

The lizard would've never evolved without Ash... Hell, he'd be dead without Ash.
