I think you’ve lost track of my original post which was that I agreed with what the men said, I just wished they’d included some women in the clip posted online. And I still feel the same. That was my first comment and it’s also my last too. Good day to you.

When carrying out vox pops you need to capture a snapshot of public sentiment from a variety of backgrounds, gender, race, religion, young, old and less abled. Here, we can see what a group of white men think. The one woman certainly didn’t get the air time the men did. A poor piece of journalism.

You are making some huge sexist assumptions there ! I find it totally unbelievable that they couldn’t find more than one women with an opinion on this. I used to do vox pops in the street for tv news and never had any problem getting women to speak on any subject.

I’ve read your comment a few times but I can’t quite make sense of it!?

While I agree with these men I think it’s a shame they couldn’t they find any women to talk to?

It really is and then we’d be able to fund our public services a little bit better.

I’ve lost all faith in politicians after this decision. She, together with Starmer, Rayner and many other Labour MPs publicly backed WASPI women while in opposition. They disgust me.

And thats the ideal but it’s not the reality for women. I’d be very happy to begin a very long thread of all the many injustices we still endure.

No we don’t! Many women born in the 50’s and 60’s have faced gender pay gaps, lower lifetime earnings, and career interruptions due to caregiving responsibilities. These factors meant we had smaller or no private pensions to fall back on. Equalising state pension for our generation is an injustice.
December 17, 2024 at 5:52 PM
But we still don’t have equality in many many areas except where it disadvantages us! Yet more injustice for women! Oh to be a woman in a male dominated world !
December 17, 2024 at 5:21 PM
Well may be you have to be a woman to understand the injustice
December 17, 2024 at 5:09 PM
And as such m sure you understand the justice of this

2. When women finally get equality in the workplace. Sadly even now too many women still face sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace and the gender pay gap remains far too high.

1. Says a man who has not experienced a lifetime of gender pay gaps, lower lifetime earnings, and career interruptions due to caregiving responsibilities. These factors meant they often meant we had smaller or no private pensions or savings to fall back on. I’ll accept equalisation of pensions
