Even wilder is that some organizations only consider X posts as appropriate social media outreach while disregarding Bluesky/Mastodon/other, and thus many parties are forced to keep using it to fill out contractual obligations in order to keep their funding 🫠

Yeah! This part's been puzzling me - whenever any news are around social media content, it's always X-only embeds/quotes that I see in the news articles. Baffling nonsense, especially since X is setup so that its embeds are blocked/unviewable by default unless you admit any cookies all the time.

It was this big sense of overarching mystery I'd wait to get a new tasty slice of, never sure how much or little each game would deal it out or when.

I don't know what manner of idiot I am, but I've dabbled in three or four of the first games - liked 'em well enough but kinda lost momentum somewhere - and I always thought the Animus stuff being there was kinda the point, narratively, right next to the wall-climbing gameplay and historical cities.
