Great week! Second minor revisions paper accepted 🎉 (last authored one this time). This is a great start of summer ☺️

During my writing retreat this week I worked on a manuscript with a minor revision. Still a bit of work, because I had to rerun analyses, but was able to submit it by the end of the retreat. The reward: acceptance within 24h 🎉
So satisfying!

I just submitted my first manuscript of 2025 on physiological and acoustic responses to therapy situations. Took me ages to write and submit due to a variety of personal circumstances. I am aiming for this year to be my year of cleaning out the pipeline. Let’s get those papers out!

I just talked to one of our bachelor students who is very motivated to become a psychotherapist for the abandoned children in China, who were left behind in rural areas while their parents worked in cities. I would love to provide her with resources. Anyone familiar with work in this area?

Does anyone else spend half of Christmas Day in jogging pants and a t-shirt in the kitchen, to only change into the glitter outfit of the day half an hour before leaving

Methods folks, how does a person publish a white paper? Two colleagues and I have developed a shiny app for a priori power analyses for log linear growth models (multilevel) in which we explain how its done, both theoretically and practically. Now that it is done we are not sure how we get it “out”

What a magnificent sight: a herd of five Triceratopses reconstructed at @naturalis.bsky.social

My 10yo takes a course of scientific lectures for kids at the museum and has a lecture about the digging out and reconstructing, so of course we had to see them for ourselves!
