Today, I visited Union Avenue Books in Knoxville, TN. I needed a selfie with The Fifth Season by @nkjemisin.bsky.social. This is a beautifully written sci-fi/fantasy tale that we read for my book club this month! #ReadFreely #UniteAgainstBookBans

RIP to a real one. I can still vividly remember seeing Blue Velvet when it was released at the theater with my friends Drew, Bryan, and Will. I was a movies person from that point forward. Thanks for the wild and fantastic visions, good sir.

The Atlas Six, by Olivie Blake

Six of the world’s most powerful magicians are bright together for intense study. Only five will move forward at the end of the year. Intense and entertaining, with an outstanding system of magic /7

The House in the Cerulean Sea, by T.J. Klune

An investigator finds unexpected friendship when he is assigned to review a home for magical youth. Theodore the wyvern is my favorite. /6

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, by V.E. Schwab.

My sci-fi/fantasy book club read this one, and we all enjoyed it a great deal. Luc is quite a character, but Addie is indeed the infinitely clever star. /5
