Sidenote: Having an Uninterruptable Power Supply lets you have your PC or any other electric device plugged in still work when power goes out. At least long enough to safely save your work and close the PC.

Might be best to first think of each series/game being in their own universe/reality. And each reality has its own kind of Digital World, with a different ruling system. It can be one of the gods you mentioned or it could be something else.

Ah I see. I suppose you getting hooked this way is neat, though as one that has played through the game, a part of me is slightly annoyed at you not having actually played the game.
Still, maybe that was better for you if you didn't have much free time to actually play the game.
