Well for one, Carney has a plan. Two, he’s playing 4D chess. Three, his plan is a plan that’s smart. Four? 5D chess now. Five, that plan is such a plan, that Cark Marney has a plan. Six, more chess. And finally seven, he’s got a plan.

Nah man. Just make yet another coaching change and maybe shuffle some depth around. Have a spine! Have to keep betting on this group. Please just one or seven more coaching changes and get some different depth guys. Please.

And if you think Carney must be a political super genius because he was a banker and economist etc etc., well, I'd like you to meet tech bros as proof positive that skills in one area don't always port over to another.

His linemates aren’t scoring at all either. When there’s an enormous gap between expected production and actual production, it means that the publicly available analytics/expected production are near meaningless. A third of the season is enough time to judge whether a player or team is working.

At some point the hypothetical goals have to become real life goals.

It’s why I buy into the argument that this era’s team never had an “identity” which contributed a lot to their inability to break through. They tried plugging depth holes with either Malgins or Joshuas and neither approached worked because this isn’t a unit. Just a collection of individuals.
