I spent more time finishing this than I meant to, but as a Minnesotan, I've been a little distracted lately...

Well, here's the first of many illustrations I want to finish in 2026 anyway.
The final design of my fursona, Kiiro, as a kobold with opossum aspect. They have golden fur that shimmers with rainbow, and a rainbow-striped scarf around their neck with a heart-shaped badge in nonbinary flag colors (yellow, white, purple, black)

I recently learned of a mythological creature from Korea called the Yeongno, which I thought was super cool, so I doodled a version of Kiiro inspired by it.

I'm much happier with this more cartoony version of Kobold Kiiro - now all I have to do is figure out how to draw them "on model" consistently. Ha, yeah good luck with that 😂

The more I worked on this, the more things I found to dislike about it, and the more time I was spending trying to get it to look "right" - I eventually decided to just stop fiddling and get to work on the next iteration

This commission took me way too long to finish, but I really enjoyed the process of making it. Client asked me to draw their cat as Chiron the Ferryman, but with some specific quirks about their pet. I absolutely love bringing these sort of mash-up concepts to life 🥰

I had such an enjoyable time working on this commission last year for @ankaret.bsky.social - I'm so happy with how the lighting turned out. I don't get to go full-out with backgrounds like this often enough, but I'm glad that I did it.
