The biggest gap between the iPad and a laptop will always be the Apple walled garden. Until you can install things from outside the app store or run an IDE and compile code on an iPad it’ll always live in a weird space between your phone and a laptop.
The iPad Pro went on sale 10 years ago today. At the time, many saw it as just a bigger iPad.

A decade later, though, the iPad Pro has changed. Rather than try to make it into something other than a laptop, Apple made it… a laptop.
