This webinar draws on critical pedagogy to consider power relations, curriculum bias, and the hidden politics of affect lurking beneath feedback literacy practices. It is our contention that one way through this impasse is to teach feedback literacies in a manner that simultaneously makes explicit its classed nature, and the power imbalances inherent to the feedback loop itself. We will discuss the need to deconstruct the unwritten expectations of how to participate in feedback processes and will offer examples of how feedback literacy could be embedded in the enabling curriculum.
