Such behavior reinforces prominent right-wing talking points, and Bluesky will truly become an echo chamber. Fuck that. I don’t want to just feel better in a misery-loves-company environment. I want to convince enough of the lost or misinformed that there truly IS a better way forward.

If we block all disagreeing opinions, that is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE. If they aren’t crass, obnoxious, threatening, etc., they should not be blocked. They won’t find another place for real debate. Driving people from BSky and over to X, TS, or other toxic platforms does not help win future elections.

On that second point, the lack of evidence:

That might be for no posts/replies (a bad sign we need to see some reason to block), but more importantly because they weren’t really trolling.

2) A few of the users in this thread were NOT added to my list, for one of these two reasons:

a) Their profiles were already removed (presumably good riddance).
b) There was insufficient information in the profile to block.

A few recommendations for those trying to help us build these:

1) It’s much easier to quickly research and add bad actors if you list usernames (which automatically hyperlinks to their profiles) rather than showing them in screenshots.
