Working on the final handmade gift for the holidays. Will probably get a few small things from local shops so that it’s not the only thing.
It’s going to be a coaster with Bigfoot on it for my dad.

Decided it needed a border to feel complete, and to attempt to neaten up (or hide) the side that fought with me on tension.
Was going to attempt a fancier border but chickened out. 😆 I’m not quite ready to dive back on to learning regular #crochet yet. #tunisiancrochet

Second attempt was successful. ‘Tis a small dish cloth, and the edges are a little loose on one side (working with cotton is a bitch) but it’s still satisfactory.

1 color down, 3 to go. Just need to decide color placement (mostly where white and yellow will go as seen in photos), and decide the next stitches i want to try out. #tunisiancrochet

Finished one skein. Gray one is tentative, but chances are I’ll use it since it’s already in my stash. My ceiling light does the colors no justice.
I’m going to visit Michael’s and see if they have anything to go with it: I for sure want an off white and possibly a secret extra color.

I forgot that Tunisian crochet takes more yarn compared to crochet. 😬 Once I finish this skein I’ll have to figure out how many more I’ll need to make my scarf. I have one more of this color but it definitely won’t be enough.

Well, I may not be able to knit, but Tunisian crochet is sooo satisfying and pretty. Second project: scarf using the simple stitch. This yarn is delectably squishy.
