And my Future debit card doesn't work on Google Pay, but it does with Samsung Pay. But outside of OMNY, it works fine with Google Pay.

With OMNY, my Discover card won't work through Google/Samsung Pay, but the physical card does work. My Amex card always says it doesn't work the first time I tap it, so I need to tap it 2-3x for it to work, and then it seems fine.

I barely had enough coins to be able to get out, and then I had to go into town to get more coins to be able to go back.

Oh similarly, Tren Suburbano in CDMX took cards at Buenavista, but then I went farther then I was initially planning and didn't have enough to tap out, and the ticket machines there only took coins! Not even cash.

EMV has done much more integration that most transit agencies, though.

Can we import these foxes?

Idk. A 2 train got diverted there when someone stole signaling equipment in the Bronx, and they thought they got sent to a nonexistent station.

Vancouver, for example, has considerably lower OTP than other PSD automated systems (93.6% in 2024 Q1, www.translink.ca/-/media/tran...). Elsewhere, 99% is very common. There's a reason Copenhagen added PSDs to its above-ground stations, and why Nuremberg still has plans to, too.

That helps with intrusion detection, but not with preventing intrusions in the first place. So without PSDs, you don't get nearly as many of the reliability benefits as GoA4 + PSD systems.

It's like the riders who thought 148th wasn't a real station

Have they said what service will be once it's fully finished and there's no more testing?

This is their projections from 2023:

Also, they really should move the R211s to the EF. They could use then more for crowding, and especially the E is not very full off-peak, so people can still get seats even with fewer of them. And it'll give the R160s a break from 24/7 service at Jamaica.

They estimate the NB AM peak load point as 2 Av, so I think they know already.

Especially when they're all very large ADA bathrooms. Is it still accessible if only some are full sized ADA bathrooms as long as the open gangways are accessible (they are on the Avelia for example)?
