When I did my military service we didn't train with Americans but my younger co-worker has experience from it. He said that US soldiers weren't trained to remain hidden as much as possible when closing in on the enemy so they were easy targets for the Finnish side.

This is crazy when you think about how many people immigrated from the Nordic countries to the States over a century ago. Almost everybody that I know have relatives in US. Many Finns and Swedes moved to Minnesota/Michigan but Danish-Americans seem to be all over US

The more I hear him speak, the more I am afraid of what will happen if Trump is removed from office. He already criticized Europe during his first visit overseas, so I'm not sure the cooperation with us in Europe will be any better with him in office.

All of this is soo different to how it works in my country and the Nordic countries overall. If we have to deport anyone, it's the duty of the police to do all the work on the ground. And they are trained to use their guns only when it's absolutely necessary.

Yeah, of course we will probably receive more info in the days to come. But right now everybody is reporting it like it was a very fast operation with only US involved.

After 9/11 it was like OK, somebody will get punished. But yeah, the Iraq war was a turning point for sure. The capturing of Saddam was very different from this though.. To just sweep in without a forewarning and with no co-operation with the Venezuelans.
