The wild part is that they interjected themselves into a conversation they weren’t a part of. They made it personal about them instead of taking a moment to realize how their words can harm others, especially a community they claim to be apart of. Ego is preventing people from being in community.

Exactly. It also shows how inadequate pushing for political acceptance is for our liberation movements. Stopping at the legalization of same sex marriage defangs the actual changes needed to happen to support the LGBTQ+ community. An just as it came , they can take it away, this system fails us all.
