I’ve been trying to summon some outrage over Snoop Dogg playing Trump’s inauguration but I couldn’t muster any. On review it wasn’t surprising. His entire oeuvre has been party songs and making $$$.

Lately I watch Zuckerberg, Bezos, Tim Cook, and others making inauguration donations or cozying up to Trump and I vacillate between thinking it's because they know he's susceptible to flattery or they believe he won't relinquish power willingly in four years. And then some times I settle on:

California has long been a donor state that sends more taxes to the federal government than it receives back. It's one of the least federally dependent states in the country.
Rep. Warren Davidson on California federal disaster relief: "If they want the money, then there should be consequences where they have to change their policies ... CA wants the money without changing the policies that are making the problem worse & I don't see how Rs could possibly support that."
