Vote Yes on the Portland Parks Levy! 💚 There's nothing quite like our parks to experience natural beauty in the heart of our City, whether at the playground for outdoor play time with the kids or strolling through miles of trails and finding some peace in the midst of this challenging time.

The joyful commitment to our community was on full display today for No Kings Day! Thank you to everyone who showed out for our democracy in Portland, throughout Oregon and across the US. #orpol #portland #oregon #nokings #pdx

I'm so excited for the No Kings Rally this Saturday on the waterfront in Downtown Portland - and I hope to see you there.

It's critical that Americans show up in the streets to demand an end to military occupation of our community. #orpol #pdx #portland

Enjoying a beautiful fall day in Portland, Oregon. We won't fall for Trump’s efforts to silence opposition and turn the city we love into a place where people feel afraid to leave our homes. We'll continue to take care of each other and stay strong in our defense of our communities and our rights.

Thank you so much to Third Act Oregon and all the other organizations who helped organize Portland's Sun Day of Action. It was an honor to speak about the importance of intersectional climate advocacy and supporting renewable energy while protecting our vulnerable communities locally and nationally.

First day back to school! Such a joy to see so many wonderful people who make our community a welcoming and vibrant place! Teachers, school social workers, counselors, the Latina moms group, Lent pedestrian bridge super volunteer, and ODOT trash pick up along the 205 path. I love our community!

Heartbroken and outraged by the arson that destroyed CAIRO Academy’s new playground—a space of joy for Portland’s African immigrant kids.

This was an attack on hope. CAIRO still rises. Let’s help them rebuild.

This week, I had the honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for 73Foster, a new affordable housing complex which will bring homes for sixty four new families into Senate District 23. Congrats and thank you to REACH CDC and all of the community partners who made this new investment possible.

Thank you SD 23 for coming out to our end of session town hall and for the support to continue fighting to defend democracy, fund transit and safe streets, take bold climate action, and deliver transformative wins on revenue reform to fund schools and vital human needs. #orleg #orpol

I've missed you! Let's catch up at our Joint Town Hall on Monday, July 28th. Myself, Rep Chotzen and Rep Tran will be on hand to answer your questions and share updates, highlights and unfinished business from the 2025 Legislative Session. What's on your mind? Hope to see you there! #orleg #orpol

Maintaining our roads is one of the most basic responsibilities of government. Oregonians elected their leaders to take on that responsibility and deliver for our state. #orpol

As I drive through smoky roads in Klamath County today, ODOT maintenance workers are the ones directing people away from dangerous wildfires. In the winter, they're the ones out before dawn, plowing snow from our roads so that Oregonians can travel safely.

ICE's violent arrest of a law abiding, legal, green card holding resident while dropping his child at preschool is abhorrent. As parents, we do all we can to protect our kids from this nightmarish trauma - armed agents breaking into a personal car and kidnapping a family member.

When we as legislators return to the capitol, I hope all of us on both sides of the aisle are ready to roll up our sleeves and figure out how we can do the hard work of governing to make it easier for Oregonians to connect to one another. Oregonians demand and deserve nothing less.

I want to thank the members of the Move Oregon Forward coalition, ATU, the Oregon Transit Association, Representative Mark Gamba, and the thousands of Oregonians who showed up at road shows and public hearings, offering testimony, solutions, and powerful stories that shaped this effort.

I am committed to leading a more transparent, inclusive, and results-driven process. A process that gives legislators and communities the time and access they need to shape smart, lasting policy. To meet this moment, we must lead differently—and put the needs of Oregonians front and center.

Oregon ranks dead last among the seven states in the American West for the amount of money we put into our transportation system–Folks in Washington and California pay more than 3 times as much in vehicle-related taxes than Oregonians. #orleg
