Of all the things that didn't happen, this didn't happen the most, but A+ story telling

I thought the Democratic party was against using resources to primary incumbents 🤔

Graduated high school a semester early to go play QB for Mizzou; got 2 DUIs before his freshman fall semester started and got kicked off the team. Ended up at Northwest Missouri St and now is a sales manager selling used semi trucks

"As was decided in the landmark case of Russell v Cantor, a set cannot contain itself, so no it does not, Your Honor."

It really does feel like the writers room got stale. "A few seasons ago we had the 'Year of the 4 Emperors' then last season we ended on the 'Year of the 5 Emperors.' I've got a plan for how we should end the Severan plot at the end of this season... The fans are going to love it!"

Gotta say that selling the emperorship to a guy named "Didius" is feeling extremely on the nose right now.

I support blocking for any reason you deem worthy. Social media is not real life and is, first and foremost, entertainment. If someone hinders that in any way, block away.

Oh really? What big sweeping reforms was Harris banging the drum for every day on TV and the campaign trail? She could be Bernie Sanders, but if she doesn't campaign like it, then how are voters to know? She campaigned trying to get the vote of Liz Cheney. She got it and still lost.
July 9, 2025 at 3:18 AM
Cool. So you don't care about winning elections and didn't mind watching the world burn as long as you can sit in your moral righteousness knowing "it wasn't your fault." I hope that works out for you
July 9, 2025 at 3:14 AM
This is why the Democrats have made massive campaign blunders by eschewing progressive policy proposals in favor of going after Liz Cheney centrists. The political center doesn't actually exist. It's an illusion. People want change or they don't and they usually do want change
July 9, 2025 at 2:43 AM
I don't either, but most don't think in terms of political spectrum. They just think in terms of who is most likely to help them and the people they care about. Elections are about competing proposals. If you run on the status quo, like Cuomo or Harris and the status quo is unpopular, you'll lose
July 9, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Democrats are conservative in the true sense of the word. They're trying to conserve and preserve the existing Order. The reactionaries are not. If you're not happy with the existing Order, then it's not unreasonable for people voting for someone promising to upend that order.
July 9, 2025 at 2:20 AM
And the median voter helped them along with it because the Democrats don't offer any solutions to people's problems, so they turn to the guy who says he will help (by doing a bunch of terrible things). Better no chance of change and some change, is not surprising the median voter code "some chance."

I think he's referring to the Democratic party machinery, consisting of the national party leadership, their political consultants, and their large donors.
