Uhm… yes. Khaldiirn has quite a few I’d say. And they keep adding up during the game’s events.
They are too many to tell the story of each of them but the big one on his stomach is from when he almost died because he was cut open, spilling his guts.

Being intimidating is one of Khaldiirn‘s essential traits. It’s not for nothing that he‘s being called mad dog and being both drow and a bhaalspawn adds to it. He‘s ruthless, oftentimes impulsive and unpredictable and he uses intimidation often to get what he wants.

It’s just recently that Khaldiirn started to go by his actual name. He often introduces himself as Shareyl, a cover name.
His mistress, Miz’ri, called him Kalan’e. (The name means skilled vassal)
And he was often called Mad Dog, Dog, or Hound of Bhaal for obvious reasons.

Nope. He doesn’t care. Khaldiirn is and never was a good person (he’s evil aligned) and he only saved Baldur’s Gate for his own sake. For him it was never about other people. So unless he specifically is threatened by it he won’t do anything.

Khaldiirn would undoubtedly a (not very well trained) Doberman.
Strong, fearless, intelligent, reserved, dominant, but very loyal and possessive towards those he cares about.

(Disclamer: Khal is not durge but *a* bhaalspawn)
Shart and Khal are very close, so she surely would stick around. He’s not a very sociable person so if they want to leave he wouldn’t object, but he would point out their odds of survival without him are a lot lower.

I would assume so! Khaldiirn expects respect for his skills, nothing more. He doesn’t care if he’s liked or not, but he takes a lot of pride in his abilities. (But he’s also pretty good in intimidating people)

Khaldiirn would be a (lazy) university professor for chemistry (with focus on toxicology) by day and a hitman by night.
Might be too on the nose but I can’t see him doing anything else.

I‘m a slow af artist and don’t have as many drawings/illustrations as I would like to make. It’s so hard to say what my favorite is but I‘ll go with this one.

Khal doesn’t know or rather doesn’t acknowledge his own limits. Be it physically or emotionally. There were several times he almost died because he pushed way past them.
But there are boundaries he insists on. He doesn’t want help, unless he asks. He hates (1/2)

Oh yes, he is. Khaldiirn is incredibly stubborn, so much so that he even risks his own health sometimes. BUT he can be reasoned with. If he acknowledges the other is right or has a better solution for a problem, he can change his mind. So try to convince him, although it’s not easy.

Khaldiirn’s motive is simple. Freedom. Autonomy. All his life others made decisions for him. His ultimate desire is to be free. With Persephone.
He wants them both to be able to make their own decisions. Free from gods or people dictating their lives.

A weakness of Khaldiirn is food in general. He’s a *very* picky eater, sometimes even refuses food if it’s not to his liking. Another thing is that he has trouble regulating his emotions, he can be very impulsive. Physically he’s exceptionally strong but mentally? Nope.

On one hand Khaldiirn has no shame in regards of doing things in public that should be done in private, on the other hand he doesn’t like to be touched, except it’s his partner. If he initiates it, though, it’s fine. Shart was frequently doing his hair for example.

Khaldiirn doesn’t mind the cold but snow? Nope. That’s like asking him to look directly into the sun. His poor light sensitive eyes already hurt by just thinking about it.

Khal isn’t oblivious to politics but especially surface politics is something he doesn’t want to concern himself with. He’s had enough of politics and intrigues growing up as and with nobles in Menzoberranzan and his moral compass is basically nonexistent anyway.

Killing was Khal’s trade for a very long time. It’s what he does best. I’d say a pretty beneficial skill during the events of the game. Otherwise he’s excellent in brewing potions and even more so poison, which is also a great ability when adventuring.
