Totally, but most older people are never going to see it that way because it wasn't essential growing up. It's probably going to be a bit before they die off and we start thinking of internet as a public utility.

I wish I could get into soccer. I always enjoy watching the US in the World Cup even if we usually suck. My problem is I have no team to care about bc soccer isn't big in the US except as a sport kids play and I feel you need a connection to be a fan. I need to care about the outcome or it's boring.

Even if there were people wrongfully using disability accommodations, I would consider that a cost of doing business. Far better that a person who doesn't deserve it get some free crap than someone who truly needs it doesn't get help.

It sounds really fun in theory, but in reality all that happens is you get absolutely destroyed by teenagers who spend every minute of their ample free time playing it.

I can't remember the single player on SF 2, but I remember absolutely loathing the single player cpu on MK 3 for SNES. If you just died, the next enemy will be stupid easy. If you just won, the next enemy will utterly destroy you.

God I wish everyone would agree to a more pleasant car horn. I walk a lot and people here honk at anything. It's so much more obnoxious when you're not insulated by a car. I startle easily and jump out of my skin every time.

If you can ever visit Pompeii, do it. Never been to a tourist place that so lived up to the hype. It was better than I was expecting. So many 2K yr old mosaics. You even still see graffiti scribbled on walls. Rome is so crazy. We have more primary sources from them than ppl who came 1K yrs later.

It's been heartening to watch renewables advance over past couple decades. I love the wild efficiency of harvesting energy from wind and sun, things we have in limitless supply.

Probably a 95% chance MadeInAmerica1990 got banned for that comment. There is no sub on Reddit more ban happy than r/conservative. Even slight criticism will get newer users banned.

It's a dark red district. Coming within ten points with a candidate who has been described as an AOC-type liberal is still better than I would have expected them to perform. It tells me the GOP is gonna get stomped in purple areas and maybe some light red during the midterms.

Yeah, I find it a bit silly too. But I think they're just trying to keep the files a part of the public conversation since there have been some distracting stories recently.

Nintendo stuff is pretty quality. I still have my SNES from when I was a kid. I got it in 1992 and it still works fine.

You're right, cars are the real enemy. But I do most of my biking on bike trails, so ebikes are a more pressing thing to me. Like half the ebikes on my trail are bikeshare, which means you get a lot ppl who don't ride a lot and do careless stuff like abruptly change lanes while cruising at 18 mph.
