I don’t think the propaganda actually changes what people think. It just gives them permission to confirm and say out loud what they already believed. The real problem is how quickly that starts to feel normal, and how little accountability there is once it does.

Zero discussion. Zero debate. I have enough good people in my life, I don't need to make room for those that are or have become morally bankrupt, sadly which is often not entirely of their own doing. Propaganda is a hell of a drug.

Exactly. I'm not the most social person, but if I am going to spend my time with people it's going to be with people that at least have some capacity for empathy and understanding.

And with the way he’s basically given his supporters carte blanche to be the worst versions of themselves, it just makes the whole thing harder to deal with.

It’s rough. I’m not even especially political day-to-day, but there are people I just can’t be around anymore. My wife’s stepmom got remarried to a guy who’s ultra-MAGA, and when they came to town, we were supposed to have them watch our kid while we went out...

I just hope support can galvanize behind one candidate sooner than later. Constant infighting all the way to June (or longer!) does nobody any good.
