After all this time, #anu has finally managed to help us out with our productivity.
Definitely keeping us motivated. A bit of a kitty #pomodoro reminder to take regular breaks.

Working my way into the impending spirit of the holidays:

- Making gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and pumpkin pie.
- Rockin' out to "Arthur Baker presents Breaker’s Revenge – Original B-Boy and B-Girl Breakdance Classics 1970-84"
- Running #nox tests against a […]

Part of my enjoyment of watching foreign films with subtitles is not having to listen to English speaking people yammering at me when I want to relax and, partially, passively enjoy the visuals as they unfold.

Most of the time, the language just washes over me like part of the soundtrack, an […]

Cool. Moving into the #docker phase of upgrading my #django projects, I think I may have a little blog post in me for those "collation version mismatch" errors when upgrading between minor versions of #postgresql.

I've taken decent notes & feel mildly productive.

Dreaming towards possible improbable futures seems more tolerable than wailing and gnashing against an intolerable present.

This too will come to pass.

As a parent of a married 20-something child, I'm beginning to appreciate being able to live vicariously through them and their tales of holiday travels and visiting in-laws.

As a recluse and a general homebody, this is what I am thankful for this year. Not travelling. 🤣

Today's work avoidance shenanigans has resulted in a big 'ol pot o' chili/goulash and little pan of cornbread. I'm good with that kinda goofin' off.

I didn't miss the internet and the internet didn't miss me this weekend.

OK Friendly fZ80 Computers are now for sale!

I have no ecommerce site of my own and likely never will. I'm intending to use eBay. But I want to offer folks here first shot so I don't want to put the eBay page up.

There are ten units for sale. $90 each. There's no rational way to price these 10 […]

Just finished watching John Woo's "Hard Boiled" [1992].

I had no idea I could have this much fun watching shit get blown up. Just an absolutely insane amount of bullets, explosions, and bodies flying.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to Asian action #cinema (aside from some Seijun Suzuki) […]

I'm still too timid in my use of serrano peppers in my cornbread mix.
I really should just throw a whole pepper in the mix and let us suffer with the potential face-burning bread product.
I gave up on using jalapeños about two years ago. They may look nice; but, the ones I buy from the […]

Can #tiobe die already? There's really no legitimate reason to give the TIOBE Programming Community index any oxygen other than clickbait.

Anyway, I just saw that the ACM's magazine, The Communications of the Association of […]

On 2025-11-05 CAMTEL (#as15964) began announcing 4.0.0.0/8 and 8.0.0.0/8. Others announce more specific prefixes within them, but as the plot shows CAMTEL is now receiving an elevated amount of traffic to the corresponding, unannounced address space in these […]
