This is the tiniest nitpick but the Spark mini pc uses regular LPDDR5x which makes the price look even worse

Last year to this year is a huge step up, we have more people, we hired AV folks… I think this is the last year we’ll all be able to fit into the office

Is it really a search option if it takes multiple minutes to return a result? I end up treating it more like a “light research” option

*Bryan’s shorts. Would love to add to the marketing team with someone local who has a video/content creation skill set but we’re not there today.

Shorts are shot on iPhone w/ Blackmagic Cam w/ The One LUT (SDR color space) burned in and not color graded. This batch is off bc I failed to adjust my ISO properly as it got brighter throughout the day. And of course choosing to get the info out vs waiting until I’m back in the office to make more.

Flock cameras are getting even worse than Ring lately- local govt putting them up everywhere and folks begging to get their neighborhood signed up next. Hadn’t heard of them before I started seeing them all over.

2nd option could make sense if you don’t need many Dropbox systems per location, but have many locations. Similar to Netflix Open Connect.

Rack-scale design vs designing individual rack mount servers. They may have business or technical constraints that prevent them from moving to rack-scale systems.

shout out @bsky.app @pfrazee.com and team for the upgraded video quality, very noticeable improvement!

I may be the only person in the world who cares about this, but it looks like Mastodon recently increased max video size from 40MB to 99MB, meaning I can use a single export for both Mastodon and Bluesky, which I'm ecstatic about.

So what you’re saying is local models are ready for use as an RFD bot if I buy a Mac Studio

Yeah I saw in another post later that it’s still 100MB 720p but they tripled the bitrate it’s served at on their end. Good though, I don’t have to change the handbrake preset for my bluesky export.

I saw the post about improved video but have you seen any details on what’s supported now? Excited for FAQ Friday to be CRISP
