Republicans understand that the best way to kill social programs is to paint their beneficiaries as Black, as support for these programs declines — even amongst white people who need them — when they think large numbers of Black people will benefit.

once, my 6 y/o put my wife's keys in one of the 6 y/o's many, many purses. I took the fall for the missing keys and was not absolved until more than one year later.

i feel like a lot of the decorum discussion has serious limitations but so much of what has been normalized by this rise in right-wing-authoritarianism is flagrant rudeness.
who says that? who does that?
and how can we get anywhere with "debate" or "engagement" when people can't act right?
