Certainly it must have, because you got it! I didn’t think the movie would be well received anywhere else in the world. Everyone here in Aus. loves it. It really struck a chord upon release. “Dreaming” is now firmly part of the Aussie lexicon.

Brilliant movie. So glad you enjoyed it. Perfectly illustrating that particular sense of humour that (whilst not uniquely Australian) is ubiquitous here. Eric Bana can sure do comedy! 😂

Aussie here, respectfully Bluesette we had our “whites only” pools back in the 60’s too, due to some dickhead rural councillors who controlled the local community pools. Not anymore! Our own “freedom riders” bravely stood up. Still not perfect here but not segregated
