Also, sadly discovered today that Lowes Foods is actually from the same family who founded Lowe’s Hardware. So again, no “S” and no relation.

Secondly, the mystery of the name has been solved. The town was named after a family from approximately 200 years ago. The last land-owning descendant, Charles M. LOWE Sr. passed away a few years ago. So, no relation to me. Still was a fun find though. (The hunt is still on!)

She’s normally quite sweet but absolutely did not want her picture taken at that moment. 😹
