The river and green space are NOT the obstacle to adding space for pedestrians. Make that space by removing car lanes.

Pedestrians were killed at the intersection of Route 1 & 10 in 2017 & 2020. Two pedestrians were killed just west of last night's fatal crash in 2019 & 2024 in West Haven. Several motorists have also been killed at or near the intersection of Route 1 & Route 10 in recent years.

This happened near one of the most deadly intersections in the state where recently *some* sidewalk was installed, but the road itself is still a shitshow of excessive lanes.

This was at least the 9th pedestrian killed on Connecticut roads this month; he was the 6th pedestrian, that we know of, to be killed in New Haven this year.

The fascist right doesn’t believe that American Jews belong in America. They want us to live in our own ethno-state—not here.

People like Zohran believe America is a multiracial democracy in which everyone should belong.

It’s insane the latter is treated as antisemitism.

Other driveway and parking lot fatal crashes have been reported, so who knows

Good question for the reporters. Every month now I'm finding one or two fatalities in a database that received no coverage.

My guess: it didn't involve a child, the operator (if there was one) stayed on scene, it happened in a residential driveway, no stolen vehicles were involved
