I’m imagining what it was like for these people to leave France for another land, then get sent out of Nova Scotia by the British, some re-establishing in what is called New Orleans now and also down the St. Lawrence in what is now Québec.

Yea, indeed, I am getting breakfast at work.

I’m going to have a Thanksgiving salad tonight because it has to be eaten before wilting.

If there are no reports of staff calling in sick tomorrow, I’ll attempt the Turkey from the nurses’ potluck I brought back to the hotel.
Trust, but verify.

Might as well get a bit of exercise. Damn. More people got the idea to do laundry. At least my washer cycle is over and I used three dryers to get this done faster.

This is definitely the best part of today for me! Nobody to share the laundry room with or fight over machines.
November 28, 2025 at 1:15 AM
It was a lighter admission day and nobody is in the laundry room due to the holiday. I won today.

I have to travel to another site next week, so it would be nice to have clean clothes to get through another week. I can order stuff from my phone if needed.

Rose Valland helped to save many of the world’s greatest art works. They didn’t realise she spoke fluent German and paid great attention to details.!#Shero

This morning, I did get my coffee cup full of scrambled eggs before running off to work.

The temptation to buy this travel tempurpedic topper is high. Hotel beds often suck.

When it's time to go to work, but the hotel breakfast does not have disposable containers for food, you use their coffee cups to fulfill your needs.

The doctor's lounge has the finest in meals. Grateful for anything at this point in the day, but it's a fair distance so I brought back a bit extra. Obligatory turkey sandwich featured.

Tonight’s gourmet meal. Yes, those are McNuggets, don’t judge.

I suppose I can stand on the inside and reach around. Then let the wipers and heat do the rest.

I only had 20 minutes to enjoy, but the restaurants along the airport were very busy, so I went into the Delta Skylounge. Their tomato bisque did not disappoint.

Today, I decided to revise my knowledge on Diverticulitis. Not everyone with diverticulitis needs antibiotic therapy.

Seems like this guy is kind of popular in some crowds. I found a couple of pictures today as it seems like it was an occasion here. Good to see that he actually has proper hunting attire from last year’s duck hunt in Ohio. I listened to a couple of his songs. He’s no M&M or Spring Roll.
November 18, 2025 at 11:51 PM
He did not accept my invitation for supper. Eating alone again. I spent all day yesterday simmering this pork.
November 18, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Seems like a nice enough guy. Hope he enjoys his hunting today.

In Calgary, Alberta, Canada, even the deer are polite and cross at the crosswalks when it’s time for pedestrians to cross.

Gggg GERD GERD GERD, GERD is the word.
There is not evidenced based medicine on whether to taper vs just discontinuing a PPI after 8 weeks trial. It’s more of a discussion to be had with your patients. There are too many people taking PPIs long term. It’s time to have those conversations.

I’ve not yet had a patient who was treated at some point with the monoclonal antibodies to help prevent reoccurrence, but have had patients who have done the fecal microbiota transplants.
Fidaxomicin is crazy expensive. However, it may be more beneficial to prevent reoccurrence of infection.
