Go on, you know she’s been doing it tough down there in her rural home of Elwood.

You don’t see value like that every day.
November 27, 2025 at 6:34 AM
It’s different to what I did at their age and is therefore no good.
November 27, 2025 at 6:29 AM
I’ve no idea what this means.

Drinking alcohol is bad for the health of teenagers. Social media is fine. The two aren’t comparable.

The back in my day defence, we didn’t have disco records and tight pants back in my day?

And they all have official diaries and secretaries, so there’s no way they don’t know. We pay for this bloke’s staff and he still lies to us.

And by governing the site not governing some users.

It was that kind of place too, famous folks could relax because the other people in the bar were cool.
November 27, 2025 at 4:52 AM
But it’s nothing like that. It’s “I’m taking this fun thing that’s been part of our culture for while now away because other people can’t behave”.

And it just won’t work, whatever abuse people are afraid of will continue on different platforms that parents don’t know about.

And we govern many industries. Why not govern social media, instead of governing teenagers?
November 27, 2025 at 3:01 AM
They like social media. Now they can’t use it because some bloke in Canberra said so. How do you reckon they see it?
November 27, 2025 at 3:00 AM
Rather a different vibe.

Sydney was rife with interesting bars, something for everyone.
November 27, 2025 at 2:52 AM
Opt out and go to Hell was a cool marketing method.
November 27, 2025 at 2:45 AM
Perfect. It was that kind of bar.
November 27, 2025 at 2:44 AM
And they’d just stay open while people were there. Closing time was when the people left.
November 27, 2025 at 2:44 AM
So why punish kids to do it? Punish the companies.

Using teenagers as human shields feels wrong.
November 27, 2025 at 2:28 AM
I don’t even think we need a law. That’s something our reactionary government came up with.

Government trying to do coercion is so rarely effective that it’s proven to be a terrible idea.

I don’t think anyone really knows the purpose of any of this.
November 27, 2025 at 2:03 AM
Apart from that whole mass murder in Ukraine thing, great guy.
November 27, 2025 at 1:16 AM
I can’t see this as a sound method for governing. Writing and enforcing laws is the job. This is excluding young people because the government lacks the courage to write laws. All the millions of teenagers who enjoyed social media without problems are banned. It’s so extreme and bizarre.

But in the meantime we have a PM showing that he doesn’t give a fat rats about his blind and low vision constituents.
