Still liked 28YL a lot, and that third act is incredibly moving. It is interesting they're not making much use of the infected and maybe that's being saved for the third movie? Reflective of the use of John Murphy's score again as the credits come up. Good set up for 3, keen to see it!

But there's a tonal whiplash there I'm not keen on, the Jimmies didn't register as either interesting or a particularly big threat, scares were basically nothing. I think seeing 28YL before it didn't help so yeah I did do the double! But they are so different, I think it might work best on it's own

In a nutshell, I was pretty impressed and I thought the whole Samson/Kelson thing was a brilliant extension of the mercy and compassion from the previous movie. Thought it was photographed well, loved the Iron Maiden scene, points for brutality.

Half of great photography is right place, right time you know!
