Let me put it this way, if you had started advising Nico this past offseason, when would you have fired Nico?

Admitting you made a mistake is the first step to making knew, hopefully not as terrible, mistakes.

Wow

So, you think the ownership group is worse than you though it was a week ago?
November 13, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Ownership flip-flopping is better than ownership just flopping. They might at least luck into a good GM before the trade deadline.

It's a spectrum, like people who treat their pets like babies. Can be cute and functional, can be weird and pathological.

You have Tatum and Hali playing here.

I think they use 2 as well.

100%. It was a great way to separate the true competitors from the fake ones.

I think you mean the Ruptured Achilles NBA or RANBA.

The expected value of R&D would have to be systematically higher than for other investments, which shouldn't happen in the long term.

I admire this, I strive to hate this ethically.

A) YES
B) Also Yes, if Edwards was as good as either of those guys sure push all your chips in. Wolves are not "investing" 5 years in NR, because the alternative isn't making them a better team now or soon.
June 28, 2025 at 3:09 AM
Great, when Edwards is a top 5 player in the league you can trade NR to whoever wants to be the 6th seed that year.
June 28, 2025 at 1:46 AM
The guy has played 80 games the last past 2 seasons. He is more than 16% of the reason they are making it this far (if you cap Edwards at 30%).
June 28, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Yes, he was not good. But the wolves have a weird roster. Sure it will not get better this season, but for 15% of the cap it's a reasonable risk/reward signing.
June 28, 2025 at 1:41 AM
The move has some upside. 25yo player gets better and is worth more than 14% of the cap on a 2-3 year deal. It's not a homerun but I don't think going for capspace is a better upside play.
June 28, 2025 at 1:39 AM
Can't be "players don't care about their cap%" and "this is an obvious overpay". Either the contract is an over pay and the player has no position to ask for more of the cap or it's an underpayed contract.
June 28, 2025 at 1:35 AM
How is this not a reasonable contract for a 6moty level player in his prime? 16% of the cap in the first year, avg maybe 12% of the cap for the contract.
