Hype.

No form of CO₂ removal is a climate solution as long as we’re still releasing >40 billion tonnes of CO₂ every year from fossil fuel burning.
Hope or hype? Deep Sky says unique carbon-capture facility eyed for southwestern Manitoba will help ‘save our planet’; critics call technology high-risk and under-researched

Another allegory from my dog:

I had a handful of carrot sticks. I gave Watson one and he gladly took it.

But he saw there were more in my hand, and carrots take a while to eat, so he spat it out to make room in his mouth for another one.

All the carrots were on the floor and not in his belly.

And….holy shit. You guys made my dreams come true.

This year has been a roller coaster. I can't wait to see what 2026 brings.

Uber sucks. Don't use it.

I just gave my 20yo a rundown of the day's news, and he said, "It's all so dumb, it's hard to take seriously and so it's hard to fight. We'd be better at fighting smarter authoritarians!"

"We'd be better at fighting smarter authoritarians" is going to stick with me.

3 cyclocystoids!

I wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of a cyclocystoid. They are one of the rarest fossil echinoderms and related to starfish and sea urchins. They are small and fall apart quickly after death.
