“Wait a minute, Ian Cobb, you’re this guy!” And he tells me yeah, I live here (which I kind of recall but I didn’t live here at the time.) I didn’t recognize you without the bulky Habs sweater and semi-bigfoot pose. His avatar was all I really knew him by.

OK here goes. I've never been a fan of The Beach Boys. It's just not my jam. But his artistic genius is undeniable. He could write a verse or a chorus that would make me stop everything and listen in awe. A troubled, complicated soul who gave us so much and his departure makes me very, very sad. RIP

And that's how you get your martial law. It was always going to be like this. Provoke the people with your atrocities and when they push back, tanks roll into Washington for "a parade." National state of emergency to beat down the uprising of "thugs and left wing lunatics." Don't act surprised now.
