I find it interesting that in Taylor Swift’s engagement announcement she refered to herself as an English teacher and not a music teacher. That tells me that she considers herself a writer more than a singer. I love that!

Authors, what this so-called agent is doing is cruel. They are mocking & exploiting writers. No author should be afraid that an agent is going to steal or expose their ideas. l’m taking a stand. I will not consider representing anyone who follows this account @un-manuscripts.bsky.social

I wish publishers did a better job vetting third-party proofreaders for their manuscripts. I can’t tell you how many grammatical errors I see in books. Typos are one thing, but grammatical errors should not be happening as much or as often as they do in commercial books.

The control & censorship of the news has begun. I fear they’ll come for publishing next, telling us what we can & can’t publish, limiting what we are allowed to discuss or post publicly. I hope that day never comes, but if it does, I will fight it with every breath in my body. I won’t be silent.

This is an aggressive act of blatant racism, sexism, antisemitism & homophobia. This is unconstitutional & infringes on 1st amendment rights. These days exist to celebrate marginalized communities & educate. The publishing community will continue to recognize & appreciate all of these days.
