watched RIFF RAFF last night and this morning I tried to remind myself of the body count with a question to google: "does ruth live at the end of riff raff" and ... wow. useless. hey, aye eye, according to my human eyes 👀 (and IMDB) Jennifer Coolidge played Ruth. good grief.

Children rollicking in a massive blizzard of popcorn aka what I imagine the joyous results of Steve's commercial popcorn maker will look like. From photo still of 1985 movie REAL GENIUS where student Chris Knight, played by Val Kilmer, fills his professor's cherished house with popcorn kernels as an act of sabotage after discovering the professor's intent to use the student-built laser as a military weapon. Hit with the heat of the laser, the popcorn pops in tremendous volume until the house cracks and bursts, spilling giant hills of fresh popped popcorn as tall as the two-story house all over the yard. Neighborhood children, unaware of the sinister backstory, rejoice and frolic in the mounds of fresh popped popcorn, as if it were a Colorado snow day.

finally settled in to unbox all my anticipated preorders and BEHOLD! The beauty of @gailsimone.bsky.social ‘s RED SONJA: CONSUMED 😀 I think I was able to capture the texture of its dust jacket. That red hardcover underneath is so vibrant and ooo! the interior cover map! 😍😆🙌
