Some of the creations from our #cardboardconstruction program at the #library yesterday. We just put out the #makedo tools and a lot of cardboard and let them create what they want. We added a little duct tape into the mix this time. #childrenslibrarian #noschoolday #creativekids #cardboard

I've been watching #comics workshops online even though I'm (clearly) not a comics artist. Yesterday I watched nature comics with Danica Novgorodoff. We had 5 minutes per panel to try to tell a #nature story. It was nice because I got to relive the experience as I decided what to draw. #drawing

I watched a workshop with @jamarnicholas.bsky.social on comics with empathy. Jamar is an absolute bundle of positive energy and I recommend you take any class you can with him. I drew myself as a child sitting and reading and wondering why people were asking about going outside. #comics #journal

Went to the fun Screech at the #REACH event for the #library last night. We made bat puppets. They came out so cute! I had the die cut machine so they mostly colored before I cut it out which was fun! #kidsart #kidscrafts #childrenslibrarian #museum #richland #easternwashington #batappreciationweek
