Making software.
Also, doctor: Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine
If you've never done business with a financial institution, look into their reputation before choosing a business credit card based solely on the perks.

I'm learning this with Wells Fargo. Great cash back. Terrible experience just setting up autopay.

There’s a kind of person who you don’t actually have conversations with. They’re just waiting for their turn to talk.

Encountering one always reminds me of two things:
1. Don’t waste my breath talking to such people. (Except when I’m their doctor)
2. Make sure I’m not being one of those people.

For the first time ever, the Claude Chrome extension actually saved me time.

I received a warning from Vercel that I'd exceeded my usage limits.

After determining a site I don't care about much was the culprit, I let Claude rip.

It diagnosed the problem and set up protections.

Very snowy roads are one of the few times Tesla full self driving isn’t worth using.

Don't risk having your Apple apps pulled because of a billing error.

Add multiple payment methods at
appleid.apple.com/ac....

My backup is a Privacy.com card that will draw from my company bank account.

Your account you use for all Apple services

I'm starting to think Apple doesn't put my private data to good use.

Today again proved that ChatGPT Pro is worth the money.

Long problem short, RayCast search results were cluttered with Windows app results on my Mac. Due to a previous installation of Parallels.

8 prompts with ChatGPT 5.2 failed.

Turn on Pro. Solution on the first try.

As a caffeine-free person, I get to feel the effects of going to bed late. It's worse than you think.

Caffeine masks how much worse your mind works when sleep deprived.

A huge benefit of quitting has been that I can actually tell how bad my lifestyle choices are for performance, then adjust.

Me a week ago: "Getting a solid grasp on marketing for iOS apps will be an achievable challenge."

Me today: "There are literally infinite ways to market that are different in every situation and no one knows what's best because it's so much work to try even one thing."

Validate before you build is advice that can only be appreciated through suffering.

There are solid tools for easily making Apple App Store screenshots, but I can't find similarly easy software for making app preview videos.

I can't help but wonder if this is worth building myself. Is there a reason the product doesn't exist?

When a driver disengages Tesla’s full self driving, they can provide feedback on what happened.

Today was the first time gave feedback in months. I used do this several times per day.

FSD isn’t perfect, but it’s come so far that the shortcomings are rarely even worth mentioning.

Ski gondolas are like speed dating for meeting interesting people.

There are clearly a lot of shovels to sell iOS app developers as I get into the app dev life.

Whether this rumor's true or not, some people don't realize how many things are "secret" only because they can't be published anywhere.

Tons of people know, they tell their friends, word spreads.

This especially applies to the entertainment industry.

I never thought of Social Distortion as pop punk.

To me, they're a hardcore-adjacent band.

Codex CLI now has '--yolo' mode. The equivalent of 'dangerously-skip-permissions' in Claude CLI.

This is a big quality of life upgrade that somehow slipped by me.

As I build iOS apps, Rork has been convienient, but I've finally hit a point where bringing in one of the SOTA CLI tools is necessary.

When it comes to big requests, Rork often give up or gets confused.

It turns out browsing Apple App Store keywords is very good at filling time while AI is coding for me.

It's fun to have something that uses my brain/taste during the downtime.

A medical school classmate once said to me, “I use music to change my mood.“

This is the one of those things that it feels like you knows already, but but hadn’t thought to be deliberate about it.

Codex CLI is quite good about not touching code until the plan is clear.

If you’re anything like me, you don’t spend enough time thinking about the important stuff.

You prompt AI about your project, then let it run as you fiddle with other things.

You listen to podcasts as you walk and drive. Phone in the bathroom.

I need to rip the stereo out like Bill Gates.

Fist hill running workout since high school.

I didn’t throw up. Feeling weirdly good now that it’s over.

Austin/Miami/etc. conversations always come down to “SF will stay the tech hub because that’s where the talent is.”

That’s going to matter less as companies need fewer employees.
