My country for a pipeline -

Enter Chorus
Lo, a realm vast and rich with forest deep,
Where rivers carve their ancient silver paths,
The northern coast awaits a burden’d choice:
Shall iron serpent stretch from plain to sea,
To bear black gold unto the world’s desire?

“OPEC is increasing production, the US are trying to increase production, prices are going down as a result of a recession triggered by the trade war. Is this really a time for us to be building a big multi-billion dollar project to try to get more oil to tidewater that nobody wants?”

Let’s not repeat this in Canada, folks!
"nothing could have prepared us for the breadth or intensity of the assault on climate action that Trump has unleashed during his first months back in office."

I know it's hard to keep Trump's horrors straight, but in the fullness of history, this is likely to be seen as the worst.
Years of Climate Action Demolished in Days: A Timeline
Trump’s environmental directives are gutting basic protections for Americans and the agencies designed to deliver them.

We should learn from the history of a post-war pipeline project that at one point seemed vital then was quickly abandoned, and cleaned up extremely slowly, writes Keith Brooks www.nationalobserver.com/2025/02/28/o...

Doug Ford has fallen short. Vote for change.

As comforting as continuity may seem, what Ontario needs is change. Liberals, NDP, Greens: take your pick. A vote for any is a vote for a better Ontario. #StarEditorial

"Almost all of Ontario's gas is imported. Most of it is fracked gas from Pennsylvania and Ohio. Do we want to be spending all that money importing gas from the United States right now, when we're entering into this trade war and talking about tariffs?"

I think Canada may also be held back by its domestic O&G industry…
China is electrifying faster than any other economy in the world. It has correctly apprehended that electricity is the future and the country that gets there first & develops the best electrification tech will win the 21st century.

The US is held back in this race by its domestic O&G industry.
Why China is leading the global switch to electricity
In 2024, electricity made up 28% of China's total final energy consumption. That's comfortably ahead of the US (22%) and the EU (21%).
