First trip out with the camera in 2025 and DC Rail 60028 just about stays ahead of the cloud at Breaston east of Derby with 6L92, the 11.08 Chaddesden Sidings - Kings Lynn empty sand train on 3/1/25.

LNER HSTs wait to head north at King's Cross on this day in 2017. 43302 is now preserved at Locomotion in Shildon, 43274 is still in service with Colas Rail and 43238 is stored at Great Yarmouth.

Ten years ago today Hitachi Rail unveiled the first Class 800 to the UK railway press at its Kasado plant in Japan. 243 Class 800-810 trainsets are now in service or on order with seven operators.

On this day in 2016 just before the wires reached Sonning cutting 43012 leads a Paddington-bound HST away from Reading. 43012 remains active with ScotRail.
