Ooh, that's a good catch! It's a pronunciation of L called 'darkening' (it's supposed to be Ł phonetically, but some ppl overdo it until it becomes a W/U) and it happens when after L comes A, O, U or Ъ. I haven't come across dialects that don't have this, but maybe around the Serbian borders? 🤷🏻♀️

It's the same for me with Croatian and Serbian! The softer pronunciation always trips me up... If you have any questions about Bulgarian I'd be happy to help ^^
