Definitely not just you! This is a thing, and I suspect it's because whatever is the most specifically tailored to our heart, we like the most. And the more super-specific to one person's tastes, the less likely to fit a lot of other people's tastes.

The Angelslayer generates an illusory model of the solar system to calculate time. Paracelsus is having a fit of laughter over... something. Giangio, the other entity who shares the body, does not share the amusement. Paracelsus is talking about Pea, who is being very sad. Pea grows a new pair of tiny arms to hold Gemini to his chest, between his chest wings.

When I was 10, I made a tragic Bubble Bobble AU about a bishy dino OC with beautiful wavy hair that fell over one eye. He was kind, and ended up sacrificing himself for his dino friends. 😢

Now I make a sad Lies of P AU featuring a beautiful, sad cinnamon roll with uneven wavy hair... ‼️

The first page of the comic, with a slightly questionable narrator explaining the creature that grows arms and wings. A character has a dream of being a child again, trying to reach the stars in vain, and being assisted by Pea. Pea asleep in bed, surrounded by wings and several different types of flowers, each associated with a different person in his life. A flashback shows Pea volunteering to assist his summoner with the removal of his own limbs. Not graphic, but uncomfortable and tragic.

The gold coin fruits are a whole other thing. In addition to being mentioned in the OG Pinocchio book, Korea made coins on "branches" starting from 1600s. (The branches were a byproduct of the molding process AFAIK and were removed before coins could be used) I'm not an expert on this, though!
