#realityhunger fiction and nonfiction, then isn't necessarily much different. Nonfiction is often written on what is known, but based on memory that also is subjective. Fiction is supposedly not true stories, but can be adapted from one... key word ADAPTED. for me nonfiction=current facts, fiction=

#realityhunger perhaps it is. my siblings and i often argue over past events in which we all have different accounts and memories of the same event... we still cant decide who is correct or what really had happened
February 16, 2026 at 2:22 AM
#realityhunger ok i think i'm getting the drift of the message of memory and reality
February 16, 2026 at 2:20 AM
#realityhunger wait what do you mean reality takes shape in memory alone? I thought memories are made in reality, but shaped by experiences. i'm lost lol

#realityhunger
I agree with this. Sometimes I get an idea to write a story or just something, but i legitimately feel like a clown when I actually start writing and then I stop

#realityhunger "Reality-based art is a metaphor for the fact that this all there is ain't no more." p.55

#realityhunger wow... just wow

#realityhunger this also reminds me TMITM but also gives a sense of reality. we are humans that think what we know is certain-reality.
February 16, 2026 at 2:04 AM
#realityhunger this takes me back TMITM and the massage of media...

#realityhunger this sounds like trouble... tiptoeing or just saying yolo and stepping on toes?

#realityhunger genuinely glad the hard work and creativity of artists and authors are protected to some degree

#realityhunger I've always considered landscape paintings, and more candid art of "real" people the most beautiful and authentic art thats the most challenging. Its mindblowing that those artwork were considered mere species of journalism
February 16, 2026 at 1:30 AM
#realityhunger isn't that that the entire purpose something "novel"? new, undiscovered?
February 16, 2026 at 1:28 AM
#realityhunger when i first started to learn to write essays, i remember my teacher telling me that there are three important components to writing a good essay: thesis, details, and evidence. this quote reminded me of that
February 16, 2026 at 1:11 AM
#realityhunger this quote really hit. there must have been someone who has said this exact sentence previously. Other times it is simply art or moments that speak without needing to verbally sound out the message

#yousoundfamiliar Oh boy this has me in the feels. Each question just got more philosophical and emotional. I tried to steer slightly away, but GPT kept coming back full force

#joeandashley #primarytakeaway Essentially, GPT will be my "helpful assistant" that I will roleplay with and create a dialogue that i can curate. If i get stuck, or end up wanting to change things, that is OK. Oh, and to experiment with diff prompts (aka have fun)

#joeandashley #joesopinion Joe's opinion is that LLMs in the 209 classroom is a good tool to for creativity, in which we can use to explore different prompts. There are limitless prompts and it gives us an opportunity to be a part of a movie
February 9, 2026 at 3:26 AM
#joeandashley #helpfulassistant It helps us understand that our interaction w/ GPT will be one of a roleplay, which can help us with our prompts for our SME project
February 9, 2026 at 3:21 AM
#joeandashley argue with ai? i havent been using my freewill to its potential
February 9, 2026 at 3:20 AM
#joeandashley its true that even if we dont want to we are always prompting with AI first... especially when I need customer service, for example, on Amazon or even my bank
February 9, 2026 at 3:08 AM
#joeandashley wait wdym the AI models got released without anyone really understanding how they worked? timestamp @ 1:55 minute mark

#atmospherestudy I really liked the ending where there was an echo of the words "pleeting, fizzing, fragemnts of joyful memories." I think i might incorporate something like it into my own project 👀 seems like a nice unsettling way to end
