It says they asked questions which were not included. The definition of "gig work" in the common vernacular changed over time once app based employment took off. Excluding those questions and data would help show whether gig work is actually down, or if people's understanding of gig work changed.

The survey says they didn’t include data for app-based gig work (Uber, door dash, etc) and you believe the lack of this data makes it acceptable to compare to 90’s based gig work where that massive industry didn’t exist? That’s makes no sense.

Every news source I can find says the vessel was under sanctions from the Biden administration. But the seizure warrant was sought and approved earlier this year under the Trump administration.
