I was doing the job of two engineers (Because they had been laid off previously) on top of my regular development duties, and could crank out a feature addition in three days that would take co-workers three weeks.

"Here's how your resume can be layoff proof" absolutely not, workers can't change the cash flow of a company or the expectations of studio leadership in a way that is big enough to avoid a furlough/layoff/mass firing.
