Cards with chips and batteries are such an e-waste nightmare. I struggle with what to do. I wish card companies would stop making these and consumers would stop buying them.

Had such an amazing community book party yesterday with neighbors, #kidlit friends, and family. Full circle moment was having my dear (author/illustrator) friend Lindsay Ward bring her three kids to my first book launch after years of taking my kids to her book events!

Random question of the day: Has anyone used liquid RIt dye on a stuffed animal? I have a stuffed rhino but need to make him purple (thanks to @jacobsouva.bsky.social for making our rhino purple on the cover of BIG BIKE, LITTLE BIKE.) Once I accomplish this, I need to sew some gold shorts!
