There are blocks I won't go jogging down because it's just a wall of Ring cameras right up against the street with no setback and I do not need everyone and their grandmother recording me struggling at sunrise.

Took the 7yo to school and then was confused why my house didn't smell like coffee when I got home, since the pot should have started while I was out.

Welp.

Sure is a Monday, I guess.

Oh my god, I just discovered that YouTube automatically *sticks AI learning modules* at the bottom of this one, presumably because it has the keywords "AI" and "education" in the title and description.

Lol, and coincidentally, of all the episodes to hit tonight...

This is my new favorite menu in any game ever, bless them from the heart of my queasy, queasy soul

The 12yo wanted to make a brookie and now I'm nearly as annoyed as she is that we have to wait until after dinner to eat it, haha.

(Not because I valorize not spoiling your dinner, but because if you cut into it too soon it collapses.)

'Tis the season.

12yo: I meant to tell you about [French teacher] today
Me: Oh?
12yo: She was poking me with a baguette
Me: ...
12yo: She was dressed up for picture day, really weird. Like she had this black and white striped shirt, and --
Me: *rapidly googles image* Like this?
12yo: YES! Exactly!!

Yes, AI is definitely solving customer service.

(The human understood that Sept 17 was more than three days ago and was able to help me in less than five minutes though haha, all credit to them.)

We just did the same with our fuzzbutt for a surgery he had earlier this month. He loathed it but less than he would have loathed a cone, haha

Ending the summer the way we began it, on a beautiful Sunday.

Guybrush is unhelpful in this regard.

(He had a minor surgery last week but he's fine. Supposed to come out of the tiger onesie tomorrow. It was better than the cone of shame.)

Lolol guess what I'm staring at in this mall department store

I don't usually jump on these but I was super curious about mine lol.

The funny thing is, I have not ever actually played any Half-Life. That was my extremely-recently-ex-boyfriend trying to get me into all the Orange Box haha.

(Pirates was a re-purchase, I had the 2004 disc too.)

My kids think this is one of the silliest days of the year.

This came across my path early this year and has stuck with me ever since, the hump of compelling mediocrity
August 5, 2025 at 3:06 PM
My time, it has come.

Definitely an actual airport lounge and not at all a Wile E Coyote-level trap for frequent fliers

We went out to dinner tonight with an old friend and her family and, look, when the menu said the chocolate mousse torte was served in a pot I did not expect this lol

(It was delicious though)

the entire reason

I have kept using Notepad for 30+ years, well into the 21st century

is that it STRIPS formatting.
