My ‘70s were spent watching the Watergate hearings in high school history class, getting my driver’s license during gas shortages, Nixon resigning, attempted assassinations on Ford, hostage crisis under Carter. Then Reagan was elected & things just got worse. Laid off from 1st 3 jobs in ‘80s.

It’s a majority of the House, Congressman. I understand the Senate majority is not onboard with this. But as with the Epstein files, maybe momentum will pick up & get this done. 🤞

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

Excellent article, Greg! Since he first came to prominence during Trump 1.0, his background as a descendant of Jewish immigrants has fascinated me. Somewhere in his adolescence, a screw got loose & now he has way too much power for someone that odious & hateful. I fear for his children.

I would like something more consequential than Nuremberg. As Netflix documentary “The Accountant of Auschwitz” pointed out, very few of those tried at Nuremberg rec’d significant sentences. Yes, some were executed. But if found guilty, most got very light punishment, if any.

Sadly, this Senator was a doctor and should have some firsthand knowledge of our inadequate health care system. He’s apparently swallowed the MAGA koolaid I guess.

Unfortunately, that was also true when the Taney court decided Plessy v Ferguson. The Roberts court will probably perform the same sorts of mental & legal gymnastics to nullify the 14th Amendment. They kinda did anyway when they let Trump stay on the ballot contra Section 3’s plain wording.

I do understand your concern. But there were nationwide celebrations when Biden was finally declared winner in 2020 & nothing violent happened (until Jan 6, that is). Also, no violence of note at the recent No Kings protests. We should be vigilant, yes, but unafraid. Strength in numbers!
