I was into the punk scene in the 80s 90s. They seemed pretty fringe then just as an act then add on being racist pos. My guess is some marketing person is just rubber stamping anything “retro”

Have you seen band T-shirts for them? I’ve noticed that all of the bands from the 80s and 90s have reprint T-shirts out. I was assuming it was because of licensing agreements lapsing. But yeah, nobody is vetting what the actual music was.
