Y’know what here’s some of my comic covers too, why not?
Cover to my entry to a comics anthology that has not come out yet, a modern retelling of the origin of the golden age superhero “The Sword” with my own urban fantasy spin on it. I also created this logo. A mock cover to a Fantastic Four comic book featuring the team being pulled into a red vortex that leads into the waiting maw of Annihilus! Cover mock-up for a Spider-Man Unlimited comic based on the TV series that may or may not have actually been pretty bad. Cover for a joke mash-up between the manga series Berserk by Kentaro Miura and Nickelodeon’s Doug with the characters all being funny mashups.

A sample page of a Space Ghost: Coast to Coast comic book I created for fun just to show I could recreate a reasonable facsimile of the Alex Toth/ C. Martin Croker Space Ghost style. Featuring Brak! Page 1 of a comic I completed for an anthology that hasn’t come out yet over a year ago. It’s a modern retelling of the golden age comic book superhero “The Sword” with a modern urban fantasy twist. Page 1 of the second issue (as yet not completed) of my old webcomic “Inksburg”, which was a noir parody comic that blended Looney Tunes with hardboiled detective fiction. Hongo Takeshi/ Kamen Rider faces off against a shadowy inhuman in the moody blue darkness of an abandoned church!

Just a proof of concept for fun
Digital illustration/ fanart of the original 1971 Kamen Rider series. Hongo Takeshi poses dynamically, ready for battle, in the foreground while his other form, Kamen Rider, mimics the same pose over his shoulder, the symbol of Kamen Eider over -his- shoulder. Today was my wife Krystal and my 10th wedding anniversary! We have more planned for when we can take time off but for today we learned how to blacksmith and made metal chopsticks together and then ate UNBELIEVABLY delicious Korean BBQ. Such a great day with my favorite person on Earth

I feel like I say this every year but I really need people to hear it. Halloween is the best American holiday. Just kids outside welcomed into their world, marching around together, showing off their costumes to the elderly, parents meeting parents, neighbors catching up with neighbors.

Art by me, Jeff Pennington A science fiction space themed homage to Edward Hopper’s 1942 masterpiece “Nighthawks.” Phillies diner is now part of a space station, somewhat eroded by time and mis-care floating overtop of a planet with swirling fluffy clouds and two burning moons near an asteroid belt that stretches past the back window. Space and other planets lie beyond, dotted endlessly with stars. Inside the diner a robot bartender serves a man in a mechanized space suit and cape, a retro futuristic astronaut complete with bowl helmet, and an alien woman in a reddish space suit with a snout and horns who all sit at a triangular bar under bright yellow lights. There are a few hidden characters, and a couple cameos for you to find hidden around the piece as well. Painted digitally by Jeff Pennington for client Jon Anderson. A black and white digital painting of Captain Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation dressed as his Holodeck counterpart, hard boiled 1940’s detective Dixon Hill. He wears a classic detective’s outfit of fedora, overcoat, suit and tie. He’s illuminated by a light source coming through Venetian blinds off screen in a mostly black dark room otherwise. “The Big Goodbye by Tracy Torme”, the title of both the episode this is homaging and the fictional book the episode is based on, resides to the right of Picard in stylized lettering.
