It's understandably not Poch's main concern, but I'm still going to be a little disappointed if Trusty and McKenzie don't get to see real minutes in this game

Sure it doesn't blemish the resume in the same way a loss would, but how reassuring is a 1-point win over a 3-7 team supposed to be exactly?

And there's all sorts of weird additional clout gained from shunning those institutions by dropping out (*after* you've made all the necessary connections to get hired/funded). And they've shown repeatedly they'll happily welcome you back if you change your mind or want to give them money.

Like if this movie was good

‘That’s not a pedophile. And you have that mustache so, you know, you get it.’

The twist is they're both Satan

At least everyone at the DOJ is so competent and professional that any investigation into his enemies can't accidentally uncover new information that could blow back on him

I know some of this is personal algorithm-driven, but what's really got to sting is that she's not even in the top seven results when I search for Anna. She's even behind the Annals of Internal Medicine.

not a believer or anything, but has anything ever been more obviously the work of Satan?

Just hard to get a read on who is actually benefiting here

Is this something the league actually wants, or is being able to 'test the media rights market more quickly' after the World Cup just cope?

It won’t even offer to help cure it or anything, it just knows.

That or they just thought ‘lifetime revenue stream’ and worked backwards from there. You’d think at some point the kid would want to switch to an AI avatar of his own mom, but maybe he just ends up loving phone-grandma more.

Even when they're reading the story at the beginning it's obvious it really about the mom, and it's really bizarre to keep following the kid after that
November 14, 2025 at 1:09 PM
The thing that's especially weird to me is that it's really the thought that *her* child will be soothed by *her* mommy, who the child has never met in any capacity outside the phone.

Right now? Watching Liverpool.

Oh yeah, and I’m not saying it’s bad. Just a funny reversal in a pretty short period of time.

It’s a little crazy though, I finished my city planning masters at Temple in 2019, and at the time they were very excited that they had *just* finished moving everyone into same building. Six years later, they’re just as excited to move everyone back out.

Yeah, I think “heated” in this context usually only means like 40-50 degrees, and that’s slightly below the surface. It’s enough to keep the grass alive and make the soil not feel like solid brick, but it’s not actual warm in any sense.
November 14, 2025 at 1:50 AM
heated turf is only going to help keep the field from freezing (to a point). It's not gonna keep the players and fans warm.
